Competency of the Board of Trustees:

To set Articles of Association of the Foundation and submit them to H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for approval.

To set regulations arranging Board's affairs and submit them to H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for approval.

To suggest annual budget proposal and submit it to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for approval.

To establish Foundation's regulations, organizational structure, job description, scope of work and rewards.

To set general standards regarding eligibility for the Foundation, all coordination in relation to this.

To form Scientific and Technical committees, to identify their responsibilities, to set regulations arranging their business and to determine rewards of their members.

To select (following recommendation from scientific or technical committees) organizations, universities, research centers, or individuals for the Foundation.

To revise and approve final report for each Division for submission to H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Any other responsibilities assigned by H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
