Youth are taught to assemble their own solar light, promoting an awareness of renewable energy, whilst providing these children with a vision of opportunity only available through education. The children are also given a basic reading book, uniting light and literacy. Light and literacy combine to create hope, and with hope, all things are possible. |
Beacon of Hope UAE is an initiative that strives to promote the unity of youth through light and literacy. Founded in 2016 and led by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. We have developed our simple solar light kits, which are delivered to children in impoverished areas of Africa, refugee camps and orphanages in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
